As we draw nearer to Father’s Day this Sunday I have been
thinking about my dad and want to share a few of his isms this week so here is
the first:
This was something Dad said about a hundred times when I was
growing up and I practice it often no matter what stage of life I seem to be
in. The importance of showing someone
respect and treating them as you would like to be treated sometimes feels like
a lost art form, but it’s worth bringing back.
I’ve spent quite a few years in the corporate world being exposed to
many types of management styles and I have always found that what works for me
is when someone is nice I will work harder for them and when they flex their
attitude I get ticked off and spend more energy stewing than doing. It doesn’t take a lot of effort to listen to
people and show them a little respect or smile at someone you pass on the
sidewalk. Try loosening up those smile
muscles and have a nice day J
There is balanced, imbalanced and somewhere in between
you'll find Kimbalanced.
Your dad is a smart man and I am glad that you graced us with his wisdom. I believe that will become my new morning mantra.
